In late November of 2008, I returned to Costa Rica for the first time in nearly four years. It was a highly-anticipated trip, one I had been thinking about ever since my first trip to Central America ended back in 2005. I headed down for two weeks of wildlife photography in Corcovado National Park. Despite enduring lost gear and supplies, severe weather and other adverse conditions, the trip was a success.
Enjoy wildlife photos from Corcovado, including a special encounter with a family of pumas, images documenting all four of Corcovado's monkey species and several photos of the birds, frogs, unique mammals and other wildlife found in the park.
Welcome to the Travel section. This is an archive of past trips I've taken for fun, photography or otherwise. Most of these trips are concentrated overseas, but occasionally I get around within the US as well. I've purposely omitted some links to trips that were short or solely focused on wildlife (like a two day trip to Utah to photograph a mountain lion). Hopefully the collections below offer a nice variety of travel photography as well as information about the trips and locations visited. For my full photography archive, please click here.
