Kruger National Park, Mala Mala and Elephant Plains
In August, 2010, I had an exciting opportunity to join good friends on a trip to South Africa. We spent two weeks there, splitting time between Kruger National Park and the Mala Mala and Elephant Plains game reserves in the Sabi Sands Wildtuin. The trip was excellent, with plenty of new species and great wildlife encounters throughout.
Our week-long stay in Kruger allowed for the freedom of exploring on our own, and was highlighted by plenty of interesting birdlife, several encounters with the handsome kudu and even a glimpse of the shy sable antelope. Our second week was packed with wild cat sightings in Mala Mala and Elephant Plains. I have special galleries documenting our encounter with a 5 week old leopard cub, as well as many other leopards and lions. I shot some video footage as well.
Check out the various galleries from the trip!
