BEST PHOTOS OF 2010: This was an interesting year. I probably traveled just as much as usual—Patagonia, Costa Rica twice, South Africa, Yellowstone four times—but experienced a bit of downturn in terms of photo highlights. As a result, I have fewer photos in this year's Gallery, with three of those featuring the same (very photogenic) subject. I also learned in September that the UW was hiring someone else to shoot for them (though I continued to cover games in an independent capacity). Taking everything into account it wasn't the best year for photography, but there were a few obvious highlights and the adventures were certainly fun.
