BEST PHOTOS OF 2007: This was a big year for me, both personally and for my photography. After settling into a new house in January, I made a short trip to Sweden to visit family in February. This was a good excuse to journey to the Arctic Circle and see if I could witness and photograph the Northern Lights. Spring brought two trips to Yellowstone, including a fantastic trip in May. Another Yellowstone visit in July was highlighted by a broken storage device that nearly cost me several days' worth of pictures (including one of the images in this gallery). September meant the return of Husky Football, and I found myself in an expanded role with the athletic department, covering the first four home games of the year. Oh, and there was one more trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons. In October I put on my first photo exhibition, and finally, in November there was Africa! A grand adventure to say the least, and though I complained plenty about the photo conditions during the trip, several images still somehow made it into this gallery. While 2008 will be a bit more low key in terms of international flavor, I expect it will still offer up plenty of exciting photo adventures. Until then, enjoy a look back at my favorite images and moments of 2007.
