I was excited to return to one of my favorite places on earth: Costa Rica. This was my third trip, following my exciting 2008 visit (highlighted by two puma encounters) and my first trip in 2005.

This trip features something old and something new. I visited La Selva Biological Station for the first time, followed by a return to Corcovado National Park and Sirena Station.

This was also the first time I shot video with my Canon 7D. I tried recording a few clips of various animal behavior, and was able to put together a couple of compilations depicting bird behavior and vocalizations as well as mammals, herps and other animals in action.
