Cape Alava Photos

Cape Alava
One of the few free weekends remaining in 2006 afforded a quick trip the Olympic Peninsula and the Washington Coast. We camped at Lake Ozette and hiked out to Cape Alava, part of Olympic National Park. The tide was out when we arrived, allowing for some tidepooling and distant views of bald eagles, great blue herons and seals. We also were able to examine the petroglyphs carved into the "Wedding Rocks" along the beach hike.
